Can't Play L4D2 with my sister.

My sister and I had been playing L4D2 together. Now when we trying joining our games it says Session is unavaliable. We are living the same home and I think thats probably the problem

Are you setting up a LAN? If so, do u have any firewalls up?

No, I just go to Start a Campaign, Play with friends, then invite her.

Yep, I just can't play with her and she can't play with me. We tried joining a public game together but it didn't work either. Probably bcuz we're using the same internet

If you are not playing on the LAN feature, then you'll have to forward ports of your router, there is various tutorial around that can help. But if i were you, i'd stick to LAN for better latency and privacy of matches.

I think all you gotta do is, make a lobby and use local hosting. The server should be visible on the other computer game list. If not you can try sv_lan 1 and sv_allow_lobby_connect_only 0/1 then create a local server with map "mapname" Coop/Versus/Survival

I play with my room mates on Lan all the time and we always play on Pubs using same internet. I have never faced such problems. I think you guys gotta validate your caches and update steam and game. To be fair I would advise both of you to un-install and re-install. It should not be a problem.

Ask Valve, that will be best solution.

Even if the game was to be not legal or hacked, they'll still be able to play it without trouble. Their problem seems to be like version differences. To be short, you are probably right about the patch uptade, maybe they have them on manual instead of automatic.
