l4dead2 wont play
i open the library, double click on the game. valve screen comes up, then the powered by source screen comes up. after that the source screen fades out and nothing else happens. i have uninstalled the game twice & reinstalled, ch'd the game integrity a couple of times. i have also gone to control panel and repaired steam. nothing has worked so far. any suggestions ?

ok, went to several diff websites for this game. discovered the game needs direct x ver 9. i have version 11 on my pc. if i download ver 9 what effect will that have on other games that use ver 11 to play ? is there another way around the direct x thing ? i am not a hi tech pc guru, so please keep it simple.

You might wanna try verify steam cache that mostly fix all of the problems.
