CANT PLAY?????????
When I load up L4D2 its shows the intro as normal, then the loading screen comes up as normal but then it just leaves the game befor it can get to the main menu. I need some help!!!

i have this problem too, except its crashing when i first open the game. the screen turns black like its loading the first credits and i hear one second on the intro sounds, then crashes. never had a problem playing before, it just happened out of nowhere. im also on mac.

Have you tried to Verify Integrity?

You can do this by Right clicking on the game on PC or ALT+Click on Mac. Selecting "Properties/Local files/Verify integrity of came chache..."

I have had the sames problem but Verify works sometime and also the mods in Addons do it. cpy them all out into a new Direct (Addons removed?) replace a few at a time it works for me.

same but wen i am joining a server my mouse and keyboard dont respond valve is so slow for NOT FIXING IT some1 contact 2 week ago still no respons.... wtf valve

no it not called loading bcz a black screen appire wen it finesh loading and i hear voice of a pistol then it glitch then keyboard freeze and my mouse is that loading to u?
