P.S. I’ve been wondering if I should exclusively switch over to PC gaming. I think after a year of Steam gaming I’ve came to the conclusion that an unfortunate amount of PC gamers are actually no-lifes, or overly competitive that, what was once a game isn’t a game anymore. It changes into a nature that’s try-hard 24/7, every frame your brain can possibly digest, and no error of marin. Only pixel perfect skills.

It’s ironic how I’ve been noticing some (the same) users (I’m not sure if forums are your thing and what you do most of the time) repeatedly telling people experiencing the same issues of being kicked for the most retard3d reasons that (they) are wrong.

This kind of defensive attitude (defending scenarios and situations that they were in fact never in to begin with, and even when the reason of kick was absurd they still defend the reasoning of kicking...) is normally common with interweb trolls.

While the large majority of trolls spend their time trying to fill their void of needed narcissism by going on game forums or forums period to de-rail topics and ultimately get others to praise their vacuous ignorance (that was totally off-topic). ie. A troll ruining a perfectly good forum post by completely derailing the subject matter by going out of their way to calculate a personal insult. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. Now, after some deep theoretical thinking, strong meditation, and after contacting distinguished Left 4 Dead professionals... I’ve decided to continue my Xbox LIVE subscription instead of building a custom built high performance PC. (Ohh I can only imagine how your blood is boiling hardcore PC gamers...)
I’m even contemplating on purchasing several extra consoles and perhaps getting a ton of Microsoft points, get a Netflix account, and maybe get 1 or 2 Xbox 720’s when they come out later this year... Instead of dishing a grand (or several grand) on a system to play with self absorbed individuals.

I’m not talking about every PC gamer of course. I know some people (trolls) are going to put words in my mouth or make the argument that I’m generalizing too much. -- This is my personal affirmation.

So... Where am I coming from?

I think this is quite beneficial for me... Instead of spending so much time and money on one thing. I can now enjoy the simplicity of being a console gamer without having to benchmark, update my BIOS, check my drivers, buy more hardware, etc. etc.

It doesnt just happen on PCs. Played COD on xbox once ( I'm really good on PC with a KB and mouse but It was weird playing with a Gamepad ) and you wouldn't believe the amount of insults I got from my team because I got just a couple of kills.

I know what you wrote isn't for all PC gamers. You can find some good people in here. I made some good friends here. Just find people who don't take these games too seriously ( avoid kids / teens who think being good at CS/L4D is going to help them get a good job later in life ). Find mature friends and play with them ! Good luck.

One huge disadvantage with not having a PC, is you will never be able to modify you game, make your own L4D2 map or other personal customisation. If ALL you want to do is game, then yeah stay with your xbox, n keep paying for services the rest of us get for free.

I only read the first link, but it was obviously a troll or nerd baiting article. A bunch of the things it listed wasn't even PC exclusive problems.

Urm , well they did one year, but that aside, you can actaully get a good PC these days for the same price as the xbox +Live +HD TV you'd need.

I suppose, mine cost me a grand and my parents would never buy that for one occasion xD. (Albeit they did pay for some of it since I had to quit my job after my winter break and they wanted me to stop mooching off my brothers comp since mine was broken)(/living at home while going to college)
