The Real Deal Achievement.
I feel like I'm one of 4 people who have actually done this achievment without cheating, exploiting, or hacking.
I tried looking on youtube for people beating it and literally all I can find is people hacking the achievement.(solo I might add)

So, is there anyone out there whom has actually done this legit?

I started doing it by an exploit (playing on the gib fest mutation) a long while back. Truth of the matter is that I didn't have enough patience to get through all the campaigns on expert, although it's definitely doable.

Instead of looking up "The Real Deal achievement", look up "[campaign name] Expert Realism" and you'll find hundreds of people who actually finish a campaign on Expert Realism. Usually the name of this achievement is only mentioned by noobs, beginners and the likes, those people not having the necessary skill to get it to legit way.
But among regular Expert players, just about every single one of them got the achievement countless times. Just join any Expert campaign and chances are, you'll be with three people who are more than capable of getting it, and probably have it since a long time.

It's a little bit harder to get with bots of course, but any decent Expert player should be able to solo every campaign on Realism, even if it requires a few tries because of bad luck with bots, SI spawns and the likes. The only campaign I haven't beat in Expert Realism with three bots is Cold Stream, and that's mostly because I ABSOLUTELY HATE this campaign, so after retrying chapter 2 three times, I simply gave up.

But the point of an achievement is to achieve something, getting it by cheating or exploiting is like being handed a trophy for nothing.
It's just having a thing that means nothing.

Though they are dumb as paint of course.

You're mistaken, I believe. You're talking about "Still Something To Prove".

That's correct, but the reason is wrong. I mean, they indeed don't need the outlines but the main reason is, the AI director tends to be much more "gentle" when playing with three bots. That one time, I've played Expert with two friends who were really good, and we got annihilated. They both left and I finished the campaign pretty easily, on the first try in fact, and that scenario repeated itself more than once, so I'm pretty sure the AI director goes easier on solo players.
Assuming the more human players, the harder it gets, the worst setup would be two humans and two bots, as the bots are just as stupid as ever, and two humans isn't enough to outbalance that, but it's enough to make the director merciless.

Having one bot is always useful, to sacrifice or whatnot, but a full human team will always be the best way to go, as long as they're all good and able to communicate efficiently.

Yeah I meant "still something to prove." You're very observant you. I always get those two achievements mixed up :D

Well since you mentioned Gib Fest, I figured you obviously didn't mean The Real Deal. I mean, a lot of people would be happy if it were available in Realism, seeing as there's little to no need to look for supplies, and the M60 and Deagle are both OHKs no matter what.

I generally don't bother even trying to play Expert Realism with random people, but if you play with friends or at least a team who is already familiar with eachother, it doesn't have to be any harder than "regular" Expert mode. Lots of the games I did with one team were just about sticking together, slowly going across the map and eliminating everything that moved.

I think the hardest one for us was hard rain.
Even with people telling you in voice what happened, like a smoker pull or what have you, it's pretty hard to find people.

I 100% agree. I wish Valve would lock out achievements when people use the other modes of play. Since it makes it easier to clear Expert. I was one of the rare people who got all the Expert achivements BEFORE Mutations came out back in 2010. Then Gib Fest & Last Man on Earth came out as Mutations. I then noticed the people who had all the Expert achievements skyrocketed.

Yeah it just seems to me that more and more gamers just want to brag rather than feel accomplished in doing something.
It's nice to know other people have the achievement, it's a fun one to get imo.

I did all the campaigns in regular expert mode, and finished it off with Hard Rain in expert realism (not the best idea). People who are achievement hunting are just achievement hunting, and probably won't have much skill in whatever game they're playing, so there's not really much use in expecting Real Deal players like that to be actual expert players.

What I meant was that someone who gets this achievement using loopholes isn't going to have skill as a player.

Well that goes without saying.

I just find it pointless to get an achievement without actuallyt achieving anything
