CD Key registered in another region?

I have Left 4 Dead2 bought and downloaded. I played 72 hours worth of it. And now Steam is telling me the CD Key was a key meant for another region? I've only played L4D2 in my account, on the same laptop I'm typing this from. My lsptop has never left my house, I'ven ever logged into Steam via another computer. I'm running on Mac OSX. Anyone else have this problem?

I'm living in Singapore, did they suddenly post some update like "Oh, we're not gonna let Singaporeans play anymore."

Really upset over this, what the hell happened?

Nice, I tried to reactivate the key, and it says Left 4 Dead isn't available for purchase in Singapore. What happened here? Very disappointed.

Woo, it was my IP messing up. My IP registered me in Hong Kong (which my game was not licensed for) so I had my dad fixed it up.

LOL thats your problem right there your using crapintosh it screws everything up. I used to use crapintosh (macintosh) till it started deleteing things on its own went to windows never had that problem again. Since then i called it crapintosh.

*sigh* I don't need to be told it's my problem. And I'm not getting a new laptop anytime soon since I need a Mac for school, so you've been less than helpful.

Plus, the Mac is brilliant when it comes to design and art, and I'm an art student.

My dad is using a PC and he also has the same IP problem. So that makes your point about Windows not having the same problems that Macs do invalid.
