why Left4dead2 get no Halloween event? :/
It's just sad .. almost all "most played" games on steam out there got a halloween touch to them (cs:go, killing floor, payday 2, TF2 .. ) all but L4D2!

Left 4 Dead 2 probably doesn't make Valve a lot of money anymore as so many people now own it after 4 years of release and lots of markdowns on it over that time. A lot of the games you noticed getting Halloween updates have ways to monetize the game. TF2 and Dota 2 obviously have microtransactions. Killing Floor has tons of DLC. Payday 2 is still new and so an event to go along with a holiday will boost sales. CS:GO has keys to open crates, so it's sort of a pseudo-economy in that game.

L4D2 has none of this. Also, L4D2 has never had a halloween event in which the in-game content was modified in any way (that I remember). There was that Christmas present drop thing a year or two ago, but that's as much as I can remember as far as the in-game L4D2 content being added to/modified in any way for any holiday event.

I saw a ghost in Counter-Strike last night and my friend didn't believe me.

yeah .. you're right, i guess it's all because they don't make much money of the game now nor they sell keys and such in L4D2, but still .. a little something won't hurt :) , also, i think L4D2 has a big potential in guns skins and all (like cs:go),

CS:GO / TF2 got workshop for weapon skins and all, the skins you use from the workshop "ONLY" you can see them!, if valve release their own skins and all, everyone who owns L4D2 is going to get an update and everyone will see them when you using them (unlike the workshop ones) + the quality of valve works is going to be (better/without glitches or problems) than the ones you find in the workshop, i think the real reason they didn't do that is because valve is preparing all that on it's new upcoming "L4D3" probably, so yeah, release store content for L4D2 than a year after L4D3 get released .. that won't be good for business.

MY SIDES

...Yeah, Valve default skins and animations are so great, SO great... Maybe in 2004. Take a look at what the community is able to make, and I guarantee you you'll want to cry if forced to play with vanilla skins.

dude .. i don't know what you talking, but nor valve is the god of design and animation nor every person who play with design tools to make weapon skins and post in the workshop is a super skilled professional, the workshop is not all super awesome "vanilla skins you talking about" .. so yeah, i tried many L4D2 and have many installed that i like a lot, so i won't be "crying" by playing with any skin you talking about, when i say quality of valve works is going to be better i mean you won't get some valve skins with some freaking load annoying sound nor it glitches out when you do a certain movements with it, ALSO, if valve ever release skins for L4D2, as they did with every of their games, they will get workshop content that get lots of votes released on the store, so i don't get what you trying to argue about here?

And I thought I had lost my sides at your previous comment... God damn.
Clearly Valve's recycled stuff meant to run on a Pentium 4 is better than custom fan-made 4096px skins you can find out there... So much better, I don't even know why I even brought it up... And I shouldn't even get started on campaigns now, should I?
Use L4Dmaps by the way, it has MUCH higher quality content than the workshop.

Like the others say, what's the point. This game doesn't have enough players to make it worthwhile, besides we don't have microtransit for stuff. Maybe L4D3 will have events and perks that can lead to cool microtransit DLC.. THEN AGAIN ITS JUSAT MAYBE..... A BIG FAT MAYBE..
