Left 4 Dead 2

Vezi statistici:
Attention Noobs
Hey, I love teaching new players tips and tricks in game when I can. I love to see new players join because new blood means the game will live a little longer. I never put anyone down for not knowing something or making a simple mistake, and we all have bad days.

However, if you're here because you rule at CoD and think somebody in this game should treat you like a god, we don't want or need you. If you think six or seven hours in this game makes you an expert, don't waste my time. If you're used to all your teenage buddies worshiping the ground you walk on simply because you tell them to, this community doesn't need another a-hole. We have plenty already, thanks.

Here's a few pro tips for you:

1. Don't deliberately shoot other players and then cry when they shoot you back.

2. Don't play on easy difficulty and run for the saferoom like a chickens.h.i.t.

3. If you want to walk across the bridge or run across it, it might be good to decide as a team what you're going to do ahead of time. Waiting until everyone does something different and then getting angry is childish. Avoid PPP.

4. If you have a health kit and you're in the green, look around and check your mates. If someone is in the red and you aren't healing them, you need to have a good reason or you're just wrong. Your stats should move from being self-centered when a noob to being team-centered when you're good.

5. Give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Everyone has good days and bad days. If someone is obviously going out of their way to be an a.s.s., kick them. If someone is causing the entire team to suffer willfully, kick them. If you aren't sure, tell them what they're doing wrong and see.

6. Team play isn't about everyone doing what you think they should do. It's about everyone doing what they can in the best way possible for the good of the team. If you don't think someone is doing that, why? Give them a chance to show you what they're about. If they are genuinely causing a problem, kick them.

7. Shooting someone a few times in the heat of battle happens. Some are better at avoiding this than others. Shooting someone five times when there is no enemy nearby is deliberate. Expect to be shot in return.

You don't need to know all that crap or worry about it; just stay with your team and don't shoot them. It's a team work driven game and being alone is usually suicide. You'll just be grabbed by the first special zombie then sit helpless until you die. I see a lot of soloers on this game that need to get off it and go back to CoD. This is not a game for you to neglect your team then run off and try to solo the level. It does not work. Try NS2 instead if you want to do that, as it's a game where you can pretty much run all over the place alone and do fine.

It's kinda hard not to hit the othe rsurvivors when you are in a long and small room fulls of zombies, what to do there?

Use melee, or dont shoot. Its no use to shot a single zombie with 20 bullets from 4 people.
And people should use common sense in tight areas: shotgunners in front, crouched, and stick to left or right side if in a corridor.

Stardog: i agree with everything, too bad there are not much players like you in this game.
Yea the friendly fire is out - of - control. If a certain person is doing a lot of friendly fire I ask them nicely. But then most of the time, people say it's not that much damage. If they continue I do counter back friendly fire. They keep doing it even more I vote them out & label them a griefer / troll.

Thanks captain obvious but you killed it with 'expect to be shot in return', votekick them instead? Because you've taken health from someone who's about to replace the tker.

you forgot.
if someone has 1 hp, black and white, and you have a chance.. shoot and defib them so they dont slow you down, and have more health, and you saved a medkit, or if you dont have one.

Oh it was everything really. I didnt know where to go, i didnt know when and where to use items. I was a burden to my team and i felt bad because i didnt want to be. And in versus i was just a complete hot mess. I kept spawning boomers behind survivors or trying to smoke them from too far away. It took me forever to figure out how to pounce as a hunter and that i have to wait to use the spitter in conjuction with a incap infected. It was all so hard for me.

Yes but then if your playing a gamemode like versus your team would get a defibillator penalty.

ive never defibbed on versus, what exactly is the defib penalty? like say 3 on the other team make it, you defib a person and all you make it.
Dilemma 15 febr. 2014 la 16:35
-25pts / defib.
Usually we try to avoid the defib penalty unless the guy's walking too slow with b/w HP less than 10, with a defib in hand (usually when we just clear a cycle of SI, like maybe at least 3of em to be safe? Then we kill and defib). -25, its worth it as the guy with 50hp can now cover better the team.
Do not try this unless under desperate situation.

And another point to add on, do not double pop pills/adrenaline unless u have a very good reasons. Pills/adrenaline serve as a booster to ur walking speed when ur on low health, but i have seen idiots popping 3 pills on 98HP (non-bleed).
Only cases u should pop multiple boosters is when you're limping (yellow/red zone) and the effects of last booster is running out. Or surplus (everybody has their boosters and in good health). Or using adrenaline to dash to a certain objective before SI does (Eg. to a certain important chokepoints to block spawns or the race with SI to off the alarm on certain maps)

You can't learn everything in half a day, and its wrong to give that impression to others. The meta game never stops changing, and due to the variation in map layouts, item spawns, SI spawn order, gun selection etc, you will never master this game in half a day.. This is how the game is deliberately designed; to be different every time you play. The best you can ask for is to get to a point where you can analyze every situation and know possible effective strategies, but even top players in competitive configs, people with thousands of hours invested in this game, still get surprised occasionally and learn something new.

You can learn the basics of what to do in half a day, but it will take months and years of constant practice to master them. Telling yourself and others that its possible to learn everything in half a day is just bad encouragement. Nobody is at a point with this game where they can say that they've learned everything. Except maybe ProdigySim -.-
