Add-ons are gone but found in subscribed add-ons list
L4D2 says that I dont have any addon currently installed then I headed to my subscribed add-ons list to find all of my installed mods are there and good to go.
it all began with L4D2 taking forever to boot up the addons and I tried waiting through it, no luck
is workshop slowing down? or I have to verify the cache?
any other ways to go around this problem?

you can go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons\workshop and move the files to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons\. Then unscribe your addons in workshop and all addons dont redownload itself again. It seems to be a bug.

The workshop is fairly buggy. If you can find copies of any of those addons on l4dmaps or any other website download them from there.

how can I install mods from L4Dmaps because I installed
this custom weapon skin from L4Dmaps but only to find out that the common infected are walking guns lol

that must be a problem with the file you downloaded. Check it. Addons from any website (*.vpk files) can be placed in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\addons\

l4dmaps files are copy and pasted as vpk into your addons folder. If a weapon mod is applying to your CI, that's a problem with the mod itself and there's nothing you can do. Which mod is it?

I think it was a M16 skin but I don't remember because this happend three months ago

unscubscribing and resubscribing to the addons worked until I quited the game then it's doing that add-on taking forever to load up the addons again! :[

why would the addons be useless? you have just to move the addons to another folder so L4D2 think it´s a "normal" addon from a website or something and not from workshop. So if you move them to addons folder and unscribe them they will still work of course.
