I've just never understood this: What is with the instant kicking of people? It doesn't really bother me, but I've just never got why. Can someone who does this please respond with why?

I think there are already tons of discussions about this topic.

Instant kicking has a number a of reasons: the main reason is their friend disconnected and they need the slot.
So instead of asking you kindly to leave, they simply votekick.

And of course there are some idiots who insta votekick people for fun, but we cant really do anything againts that.

most of the kickings I see is usually is if someone is so horrible they are worse than a new player or afk for too long.

I have entered one match where I saw the "kick keledistus" vote screen as soon as I loaded :/ I assume it was a team game and they didnt want me... but it still confuses me :/

yea. i like the kickers who fail at the vote then rage quit. worst i had. guy was nice, but when we lost 1 round in versus, he let coach die, killed black and white nick, ran back and got himself smoked then quit, and i was alone, cuz the other 2 got pissed by him and left before he did.

:/ I wouldve kepy going :P the AI sometimes have incredibly good shooting :P but also are stupid sometimes and take forvere to free someone from a smoker :/
annnnd a new addition to the list... I got kicked from a match purely because i didnt have a mic... :/ I actually do have one just dont use it with strangers online.

Funny thing is, everytime we kick someone, a good player leaves after he votekicked. Is he really that guilty or something? :/

If someone knows a group of nice players who play versus and need one more guy, just give me a shout.

By "nice" i mean:
1. people who can greet each other (saying Hi isnt that big thing)
2. they play the game for win (thats the point of vs.) but wont rage if someone fail a charge or such
3. people who know the basics of versus and know what is teamplay
4. last but not least: people who want to have fun playing vs.

Well yeah, versus is competitive so those things matter.

if you are AFK for 20 seconds in versus I would kick you.

afk at the begining when people are leaving,is as bad as people rushing out before everyone is loaded up.

Welcome to the general L4D Community, it's gotten a pretty big negative stigma around it, but hopefully you can find players who aren't Darwin's failures.

When im used to play Versus with a group we asked each other if we are ready to begin the map.

If they said yes, then we started playing, if they said no because someone is afk, then we waited.
I think this is how it works.

I've been kicked alot, and all I've been doing is trying to get a tactical spawn point as an infected. As a survivor, I got the most furthest before dying, then when we're the infected, I was trying to get in a tactical spot, but they told me to just spawn. I was waiting patiently, then the kicked me. This is the 11th time I've been kicked by ignorant idiots.

because, unless you are friends who play alot together. no one uses teamwork.
left4dead 2 despite the fact its co-op, the players have no idea of real teamwork. if 1 man goes down, 2 cover while the 3rd picks them up.

but instead, its just rushing, and selfish people. i need a medkit, but public players dont use it for me, when they are at 80 health and im at 13. so when i die, or down, im a noob.
when i share my items, even if a bot is weak, ill give them pills or heal them, so the team is stronger.

whats funny, is, people think rushing versus is best move. the players who take it alittle slower so everyone is together, seem to do the best, the rushers split up too much so its easy to pull the back person away for a easy kill.

The game is full of people who can only do well at L4D2 and not in real life so they get really mad if you mess up one time, etc. It's annoying. I quit playing for a long time because of all of the trolls and basement warriors.

You might think that because you say that here, people go "oh if he does it it's okay".
In reality, people go "oh so he's part of the problem".
