But that seems a bit hard with all the gunfire going on. Turning off the flashlight doens't work either and she takes at least 10 shotgun shells from medium range so I'm assuming she won't go down from a rifle/smg heady.)
Left 4 dead series was made to be a team based multiplayer game, that is why the story aspect of this game is basically non existant, and the single player and campaign can feel bland and repetitive when compared to versus.
If you are having problems with difficulty then put it on easy and go from there. Witch takes one shot in the face close range to shoot her, the bots are stupid, but if you actually improve and play the game as it is ment to be played you would probably enjoy more.
L4D campaign is ment to be played either casually or seriously by 4 players with good communication, versus is ment to kill each other 4v4, this is a multiplayer game, valve cared so little about story that they actually released the story as seperate comic books (lame).
Typically one of only reasons you would stay playing by your self is because you dont think you are good enough.
Left 4 dead 2 was made to exploit the versus aspect of the game, hence the longer maps that feel way too long and boring in campaign but perfect for versus. That's why when you go to l4d2 lobbies, there are very little expert or advanced lobbies for campaign, versus reigns supreme.
BUT IF YOU GO TO L4D1, there are almost no versus games, but quite a bunch of campaign lobbies to pick from.
L4D1 was simpler, in l4d2 mechanics were exploited for versus experience.
edit: what i mean by boring long campaigns, is that when you play versus, or with other people, the joy of playing campaigns on expert by your self is very minimal. atleast to me. I never play expert campaign by my self, because there's nothing to it. NOTHING. With other people it's funner because a.i. doesnt help, but then again, why have very smart A.I. when this is not how the game is made to be played?
I know it sounds bad but that's how it is.
I am an advocate for valve making a game with seperate campaign and versus, they can make a rich story like HF2 and just release versus exclusive maps as no one gives a dam about story when playing the dam versus mode anyways.
Thats why the release of cold stream and the passing were failures, and i will expand on this if you wish.
The only times i have played expert campaign single player, has been for run throughs of the maps, rushes is what they are called where you rush campaign in less than 30 mins etc.
Difficulty isn't the problem, I have died twice so far but teammates can revive you so no biggie.
I didn't go SP because I don't feel good enough, I have plenty of experience with all Source Based shooters. Okay this one feels nothing like the others so took a little getting used to but I'm doing okay. It's just that (maybe because of the game givaway during christmas) I often get put in a server with noobs that don't stick together that I thought AI must be better then the people I played with. But that was even worse.
And I know this game was meant to be played with 4 people... That's my point... They promise a singleplayer but the singleplayer is even crummier then the normal gameplay. So it shouldn't have the singleplayer-label in my opinion.
Thanks for improved AI tip, will check that out. And about startling I'll try that too, but the teammates don't help me fight her usually so I guess I'll just keep dying every time I see her and hope they revive me in time or make more headies with an M16.
I already deïnstalled the game, I'd much rather just play HL2 or HL2 mods which feel so much better combat and movement wise. I just wanted to warn people about the fact that the Singleplayer label shouldn't have been there before they feel duped.
And no they often don't heal me, not even if I'm the only one without medipack and the only one with below 25% health and they have no zombies to shoot at (as they don't shoot calm zombies)
Bots aren't that stupid. They are just slow to react. Only thing they seem to have trouble with is smokers.
But humans seem to like to prove to me that I have not seen the stupidest thing yet.
If the bots were any better people would just kick other people because they weren't bots.
I will go to hell and back to save a bot in need because I know they would do the same for me.
Be nice or die alone.
