Anyone else having this problem and how can I fix it?

For some reason, whenever I try to start a campaign in this game, it says something like file/hunter.mdl is inconsistent. Any idea how I can fix this?

Go to your Library and right-click on L4D2 and then go to properties and under Local Files click on 'Verify Integrity'. You will not be able to interact with with Steam while this is on-going but it will check all your game files and if it detects that there is a file missing, it will re-download it. If that doesnt work, try re-installing and if that doesn't fix it then let us know. Just always Verify Intergrity whenever it says a file is missing, fixes it 99% of the time.

Probably a workshop mod you have. If your game isn't running after verifying, remove any recently installed mods and try again.
