The goal is to get to the safe room!!!
So if you're playing on a higher difficulty and someone on the team makes it to the safe room, you say "thank you", you show appreciatation. you do NOT cuss the person out and try to kick them for running and making it to the safe room.

I would somewhat agree on Expert (especially with 2 or more restarts). But on Advanced and below, the team should work together to get everyone in.

You are wrong. The goal is teamplay and getting EVERYBODY to saferoom.

You fail...and get kicked probably

It depends on what your doing... If you know your team is screwed Let them know to follow you and rush b4 you do it by yourself
TEAMWORK IS THE KEY OF THIS GAME

If its obvious you can't save the team without getting incapped then yourself then yes. However if they're just outside and you don't come out, well then no.

I agree. Many times have there been attempts against me to be kicked. They fail. I am grateful at least 1 person agrees with me in games so I dont get kicked.

I try my best to get all the human players to the safe house. But if there is someone that does not have the ability, then why should others be at fault? 1 thing I hate about the L4D 2 community is the " entitlement ". " It's not my fault I got incapped, it's yours for not being a team player & halping me." I hear this from other SOOOOO much. Of course i do not listen to them.

This is just a opinion Cease. Fact is. People can die in this game. It's just like any zombie survival game, movie, or TV show. Have you seen a zombie series where EVERYONE survives?!. NO !

And yet, SOOOO many people cannot accept this. They just blame it on others.

It's do or die on expert mode... but should'nt kick ppl espec if ther the last one standing.. and i totally agree if u do not have the option to save your team mates, then save yourself..lol that's why it's called L4D!!:D

Agreed, it's a cooperative effort to survive, not a competition for who runs the fastest

People die in those efforts though. It's nothing about competition and / or speed. Surviving means someone else may die.

Sometimes, yes, it's necessary to let others die, on a particularly difficult map, when a tank or something needs to be outrun, etc. Probably OP just rushed the whole time and threw a hissy fit when his teammates wanted to play at a slower pace.

Expert is, if anything, the one campaign difficulty you should actually help people. With the AI much faster with reactions than any other difficulty, it's pretty easy for people who don't know how to avoid/deflect certain attacks to be hit. If you potato saferoom rushing braindeads knew anything, it's that it's actually possible to clear your ♥♥♥♥ing teammates, as long as you don't have parkinsons or something. Versus, of course, is the gametype that really emphasizes this the most, but we're talking about campaign here.
The goal may be to get to the saferoom, but I doubt your teammates will agree after you leave them for dead and you're all back in the next map together.
Now, granted, not everyone may be able to clear their entire team against whatever challenges their current situation throws. If you're all apparently screwed, yes, go and run for the saferoom. Otherwise, don't think just because Bill is behind you with a hunter on him and there's a small horde coming towards you that you cannot save him. At least clear him, and get the infected off him. That'll slow his death down, and give you time to kill the horde.

Well we don't know what happened in that game Ian was in. All I can say is I have experineced what Prince Ian has said. Too many times where 1 or 2 people will not make it. And then the 2 people that died try to vote myself and / or the other random person that did make it. And when we explain that they will just respawn, they will respond with calling us bad teammates. Or grief / troll the game by shooting teammates. Oh & don't get me started when I shoot back in self - defense. The threats & name calling from the other players is out- of - control. Wish Valve would do something about griefers / trolls. but they sadly don't anymore.

And when things go down & bad, the " blame " game starts. It's sad & funny to see that unfold.
