Adding more maps to Survival and Scavenge mode
Valve should add more maps to Survival Mode and Scavenge Mode. I do agree that all game modes deserve map diversity , and these two seem to be lacking them. Survival has only 17 playable maps while Scavenge has only 16. I suggest that Valve should port the Left 4 Dead Survival maps to Left 4 Dead 2, as well as adding more Left 4 Dead 2 Survival Maps. For example, Dark Carnival has the Motel, the Stadium Gate, and the Concert. A good addition would be the Carousel in level 2. Another idea would be to add survival to Cold Stream, or the lowering ramp in Swamp Fever level 3, or Ship for the Sacrifice. The possibilities for map diversity are plenty. I call out a suggestion that Valve does add many survival maps. Does anyone agree?

About those hidden maps, they should be made official. I heard that the reason they weren't put was because of bugs, glitches and exploits. Those maps are only a few, we're talking as big as porting the Left 4 Dead 1 survival and scavenge maps, and also adding it to Cold Stream.

I agree. Every map in LFD2 should be a part of survival because it gives players a unique vessel in which they can test their skills.

i personally havent played L4D1 but i only hear good things about its maps and ive read so many places of people thinking the maps from it should be ported to L4D2 as well. One way we could get more maps for survival and scavenge would be to get valve to actually host some of the more popular custom campaigns and such and make them available via steam/ and or valve official dedicated servers so people who didnt want to troll websites trying to find good maps and having to download tons of them to find one suitable for their play styles

Thats not the problem. The lack of diversity it because people only want to play on No Mercy.

Well yes there is that but there's so much more possible maps. Like I said, there are only 16 scavenge maps, so logically players drift to the community favorite, which is No Mercy Rooftop. By adding more and more great maps from the campaigns to these 2 gamemodes, then not only will No Mercy Rooftop be popular, but other maps as well.

it'll be much better to have more choices of maps for survival and scavange but survival needs more maps!

For Valve not to have included those maps in L4D2 was probably due to lack of interest maybe. It would be nice if they included them.

It could also be that they don't want to port everything from L4D1 to 2, otherwise what reason other then no melee weapons do people have in buying L4D1? (If there are other reasons, please point them out since I haven't played it in a while).

Truly nice if they included them. Left 4 Dead 1 is practically already in Left 4 Dead 2. They even added Crash Course and Sacrifice all for free. If thats the case then why not just port the survival maps to Left 4 Dead 2 right? Like I said ALL game modes deserve map diversity.

Have you tried custom maps? There are plenty of those for your perusal.

Yes I have and they are quite fun, but it's not like Valve makes these maps official and updates it into the real game for the ENTIRE community to enjoy. Another thing you have to admit is that it would still be nice to have many official maps for survival and scavenge. Imagine the Memorial bridge of Cold Stream, what fun would survival and scavenge be there, or "Kiddie Land", or The Finales of Left 4 Dead 1. See? Plenty of possibilities with simply the official maps

Not likely that you'll see any official maps added to a five year old game.

Five is just a number, in my opinion I believe this game still kicks ♥♥♥ and WOULD kick more ♥♥♥ if the maps are added.
