No Co-Op Mode or Local Split-Screen?
I love that Portal 2 allows you to engage in local spli-screen multiplayer with a friend, without having to be online. So, why isn't L4D2 spli-screen enabled? This game was meant to be played with other people, but I will never get to, since I have satellite internet. I have friends that would definitely play it with me if it had local multiplayer for campaign or versus, but it doesn't. I tried using the console trick to enabling it, but the problem is that player 2 doesn't have controller support which kind of defeats the point.

I wish Valve would patch this and give the game local multiplayer like Portal 2 has, so I will actually want to play this game.

Anyone else feel the same way?

I managed to find a work around for playing CS:S with 2 computers at home, on the same network.
Google is thy ally.

Whaaaaaaaat? Anyone with Nerevar in their name is automatically awesome. House Indoril.

Local multiplayer is kinda bonkers in the PC version of L4D2. Pretty much what Munkee said. As far as a patch for L4D2 for this... it was released in 2009, so that's most likely not gonna happen. It'd be nice for those that have a need for it though.

Haha, thanks. There's so much culture and history about Nerevar and Morrowind's past...huge fan, obviously, as my name indicates.

Well, that sucks. I had hoped to play this with my girlfriend, but I can't seem to get the controllers set up correctly for multiplayer or co-op.
