Download Error

I've had Left 4 Dead 2 for a long time. Recently, I ditched my old computer and got a new one. When I tried to download the game on my newer computer, the game download would not even initiate. What could be causing this? All of my other steam games have downloaded just fine, this is the only game that does this. Please help!
