Playing with my girlfriend easily and legally -- 2 Steam Accounts?
So currently, two computers same house, two legal copies of Left for Dead 2, one steam account, one girlfriend that loves playing L4D2 with me as much as I with her.
Both computers have my Steam Account software. To play with each other online, do I need to create a new Steam account for her? And to do that, do I need to remove the Steam software from one of the computers and re-install it for her new account?

I dont understand. if there are two computers with two legal copies, then there should be no problem. But if these two computers are logged in as you (User A) and she (User B) wants to play, she needs to log in to her account. So she (User B) needs to have a legal copy, as in one that she bought on her account, to play with you (User A).

Make sense?
You can't be logged in and be playing together on the same account. They must be different accounts all together. So you can trade l4d2 to her new account and play from there.
Can I have two different Steam Accounts on the same computer?
Right now I only have my Steam Account on both computers. Do I have to remove mine from one of the computers in order to give her one?
Thanks in advance for your help guys, I know this is hard to explain/understand, but I really appreciate that you are making the effort!
Well you can have xxx amount of steam accounts (if you want to spend all that money for whatever reason) but only one logged in at a time. I recommend you log out of your steam account (on whichever computer is hers) and make one for her, and then buy/trade the game for her.
Things You need

2 computers

2 Steam accounts with lfd2 on them

your girlfriend
or you can play split screen on 1 computer . but you would need to google that as i do not know how
You don't need to uninstall Steam from either computer. As long as both computers have Steam installed, the solution here is as simple as making a new account, and then registering one copy of L4D2 on her new account. Just be sure that, if both computers are set to log in to your account, make sure that whatever computer she uses is set to long in to her account and not yours, that way there won't be complications with game registration (even though I doubt you could register more than one copy of the same game on your account).

Yes.

No.

The software you have installed is the steam client, accounts are just some data saved online. You can have one Steam client installed on your computer, yet have access to (if you want, for example) ten steam accounts. A steam account is free and easy to make.
Games and other software on steam are what cost money, so they can afford to let every random joe make an account for free.

If you already have two legal copies for L4D2 and two computers, there's no problem. Make another account, use the key of one of the copies on that and done. Download, install and play!
