They are not so bad, assuming you are playing with an attentive team that will knock them off you, or if you watch and knock them off others. Either way, shove is your best friend, except in the case of chargers. Those need to be killed to free a pinned survivor. And witches are best avoided unless you have someone who can crown.

Edit: Regarding tanks, generally throwing a molotov on one is a better idea than a bile jar, I have found, unless there is already a horde inbound.

Buy L4D 1 then (L4D1 is without Jockeys). Many people have complained about OP Special Infected which appereantly have ruined Versus. And you can kill witches in other ways then crowning.

Yep, but crown is the first things new players will see most likely. I have done it, or seen it done, with fire, chainsaw, sniper rifle, ak, scar, melee, but shotgun is the best way to start, in my experience.

His post implies that he's playing alone, with other players in the game it's extremely unlikely that a single hunter or jockey would wipe the team.

Are you not part of a team ? Can you not hear them and anticipate them ?

If that was the case then the bots would always be hovering around him ready to stop the SI.

I'm not sure how 1.8 hours over two weeks equals "a lot of L4D2 lately", but no, the special infected are not OP.

The one complaint I have about them is the game seems to give them the benefit of the doubt, such as they can land short and it still registers as a hit, or they can leap into a chainsaw (sometimes, and mostly in the case of jockeys) and it counts as them hitting. But, as I said before, with an attentive team, they are not usually a major threat, unless they can hit 2 or 3 players at the same time. If you run too far ahead or lag too far behind the rest of the team, they will kill you, though.

In that case, it is a question of the skill of the players who are controlling the specials, not the power of the specials themselves. I thought we were talking about the AI infected. My mistake.

Jockeys are alittle too strong.
I put a whole clip in 1 and it didn't die. I had to chase it down melee it to death.
I say that here's another kid complaining to Gaben "TOO OP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Well, jockeys are alittle too strong, I rarely get grabbed by them but when a teammate is becomes a pain to kill them.
A headshot with a sniper rifle puts them down in like 2 quick pops, but aside from that, body shots take forever.

Jockeys are op as hell in co-op

Jockeys are up as hell in versus
