Need help getting rid of the diesel cans on survivors backs

I recently downloaded the Detailed Rusty Jerrycans, Propane and Oxygen tanks, but when I saw the "diesel" cans on the Survivor's backs, I unsubscribed, but they are still on, so I went back, subscribed to the mod again, and then unsubscribed, that didn't work, so now I have no idea what to do about it, I just really need someone to type a sentence or two about how to get rid of the damn thing.

Steam -> L4D2 -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Cache

I used it too. weird. didnt have that issue. but yeah verify game cache

Just curious, why did you unsub the mod? Subscribed myself a few weeks ago. I feel it adds a nice touch. Just curious.
