Boomer Bile Doesn't Work If You're Biled?

So I was playing Co-op yesterday and someone got biled, I threw boomer bile elswhere to deter the horde away from him. But then he said, boomer bile doesn't work if someone is biled (meaning it doesn't have the same effect like a pipe bomb). Is that true? I haven't noticed if it didn't work, I just assumed it was common knowledge to deter a horde from a biled teammate.

pipe bomb >> boomed tank >> boomed survivors >> boomer bile location

In your situation, the boomer bile will not save your boomed teammates and probably cause more zombie spawning.

be careful when using the bile. if there is only a few infected around the bile will spawn a horde.

I disagree with my fellow zombie killers.
It does work if you bile something AFTER you were biled on and it will work until that something is dead. It doesn't work if you just throw a bile bomb on nothing. There has to be a target.

For example : you get puked on, the horde runs to you. If you throw a bile bomb on a few zombies, the horde will attack those zombies instead of you until they are dead, then the horde will attack you again. It does work but it is not very useful since the biled zombies will die in 3 seconds top and it might generate more horde.

But you will stay out of arm's way for 3 seconds :) Your call.

Dont throw boomer bile with someone puked on.

As mentioned above, it spawns a new horde so this is expecially dangerous if you know enemy team spawns are up.

There are so many reasons not to do this and very few reasons to do so. Just don't do it, it has the opposite effect of helping.

That's true. However I prefer not to do that for the following reasons:
First, say you biled 2~3 zombies and the horde go attacking them. Then fairly soon they'll be killed and the hordes will redirect to survivors.
Second, getting boomed is not that a bad situation, especially in campaign, sometimes even beneficial. Just get back to a corner or behind other clean survivors if any. Afterwards the neighborhood will be rather clean. Boomer bile may complicate things.
Third, the danger of horde is keeping survivors from moving freely. So I'd rather lose some HP than face a longer horde (caused by boomer bile).
