Select and Deselect All Add-Ons Button Please
Love all the mods/add-ons the community creates. <3
I just have so many now, that it becomes a big time consumer when I want to start fresh.
Anyone else feel this way?
Can't be the only one who finds this annoying.
Is there any way we can get a button on the menu to set everything back to default?

You want Valve to develop such and option so that you can save 30 sec ? Really ??

turn off all the mods and all in the main menu. Quick and easy to turn them off or change which ones are on.

I think Avsis was talking about a "unselect all addons" in main menu's addon menu.

Yes, would be handy, "unselect all addons", then start scrolling and selecting the ones you want. A filter to find "conflicting files" addons too would be nice.

Actually, it took around like 5 minutes.
Had to scroll and click constantly down the list.
What can I say? I like a lot of the stuff the community brings to the table.
You can make the game super silly/crazy, or creepy and more difficult depending on the mood you are in that day.

You get what you ask for. Add a lot of stuff then you have to work to turn it off. Next thing is you want the game to automatically find the cool stuff for you ;-)

They already have that, with the way the workshop is set up and the filter button on the add-on menu

Yeah, it takes 30 seconds if you have say, 10 add-ons, Once you hit about 50+ like I have, including some that conflict with one another... yeah, it becomes a 5 minutes venture just to get everything working. It's one button. I'm sure programming an all-off switch isn't exactly difficult.
Have you tried deleting the addonlist.txt in your left 4 dead 2 folder?

Deleting the addonlist.txt will only cause it to re-generate in alphabetical order, which will destroy any hierarchy you may have previously established. It will not disable every mod, it might activate every mod though.

unload_all_addons in the console turns them all off in an instant.

That's not good, then, why can't the addon list be with tabs sorted in a nice order?...

Either because the game is old and wasn't expected to have such an aggressive mod community, or because Valve was lazy. At least you can still sort mods manually.
