Get kicked for not playing enough?
Why do I get kicked? I join and they say "This guy sucks he only played for 90 hours" How the hell is that not enough?

Sorry I have another life other than Steam.

i guess, most of my 90 hours is on versus though but i hardly get to see an end to a match without rage quiters, or dumb teamates who rush. It's ridiculous

I find that a lot of more experienced players will judge a player they don't know within the first couple moments of a game without letting it play on.

Let's say you're a survivor and the infected go for a "hit." If your teammate gets jockeyed or smoked and you somehow don't realize it and don't clear(kill) that spawn, they'll immediately be on your ♥♥♥ for being a noob.

Basically, this is a team game where every member counts and one weak member can hold down a team drastically, especially if on the other team everyone knows what they're doing.

Raging and kicking are pretty common actions pretty common and sometimes they are justified. After all, nobody likes to lose.

My best advice, stay positive, find people that share your mindset about it being a casual game. But at the same time, have fun and BE WILLING TO LEARN.

This is an extremely fun game when played correctly precisely because it is so competitive. It takes strong communication and good teamwork along with mechanical skill to be great at this game.

i assumed it was versus cause that's the only mode where most players who so desperately want to win are actively kicking players.

but anyway 90 hrs is not a lot of gameplay to go against players that may have a lot more hours and experience than you, so kicking is pretty much the only way to balance a game out without having to carry someone who is less experienced when you're not playing as well as your opponents. it sucks, the community sucks, not much you can do there.

i just can't stand it because i find survival boring but versus alot of fun but i can never just find the right game to play that has 6-8 people, fair players, and dont rage quit when theyre loosing by 5 points.

What would have happened though if you were put on the spot to do something crucial that would make or break the game for them because it was something you hadn't learned to do yet? Perhaps there would be a time where you wouldn't be able to react to a situation everyone else knows how to. Hours are sometimes misleading and low hours can play better than high hours. But USUALLY they hold true.

The logical course of action is to simply teach you all of that so you WILL know it for next time yea. But what if the other team is a premade team of veterans. The team that has to take time out to overcompensate for someone else's lack of experience with and in certain situations will fall behind the other team that is operating like a well oiled commando unit. Your team wouldn't be enjoying themselves and neither would you. So their logical thinking is to just remove that liablity and hope someone they dont have to make up for joins in your spot.

You deserve at least a chance, as i previously mentioned in another person's topic. But also as i mentioned new, or seemingly inexperienced players are notorious for ruining games that would otherwise be fun so people react to the sight of them negatively and take instant action against them to prevent the events that *tend* to follow them. And some people are just a-holes that like to bully people and kick them for whatever that can evidently justify hurting their feelings. Harden your skin because this is the world we live in and the game we play. Same goes for your other lives. Harden your skin.

Ya, There is a lot of rage quitting. Again, competitive play. I feel you man, I get frustrated with the community at times too. Especially because there are so many newer players trying to learn.

But I also understand their frustration as well, not that it's a good excuse for poor behavior.

I've met a lot of really cool people as well who have helped me along and I couldn't be more thankful for them being so cool.

Feel free to add me if you want to game, I'm sure we could learn together and teach eachother things.

You've got it easy now. Before all the sales it was almost an unwritten law to have around 300-500hrs before youd be "allowed" to play versus and there was no forgiving, no hordes of ♥♥♥♥ sticking up for noobs, virtually no attempts at teaching aside from a few groups of players and not in any public game. Back then if you wanted experience you used the many methods of honing and perfecting your skills on your own time with training maps, watching vids, ect.

Coming from these times Im not gonna sit and teach you something I took time to learn on my own or watch you try to jump into a competitve mode of play without knowing a shred of the tactics or basic strategy.

Aside from all of this when you arent getting kicked by the few hundred decent players still floating around youve got a seemingly unending supply of ♥♥♥♥♥s to practice against. You have it so good you dont even know.

Don't let it bother you and move on. Any idiot that relies on hours isn't worth playing with. I've run into people with 20 hours who were far superior to players approaching 1,000, and I'm not exaggerating.

its just people who suck at teamwork, who get mad because a win wont spawn out of magic.

Switch your profile to friends only, that way they have to see your skill before they kick you.
