L4D2 Glitches
I can't even play this game anymore. It starts strutering and is unplayable. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, many times and it is frustrating. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Is it a constant thing or does it get worse as you play?

Hi guys, thanks for replying. Specs are:

i7 3.4 GHz
8 GB RAM
Window 7 64 bit
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti graphics card

The game usually starts out ok but starts struttering a couple minutes in.

The stupid thing is that I can play L4D and L4D Beta just fine...

Weird. May be a driver issue, make sure your drivers are up to date. Also, you might want to disable V-sync, intel hyperthreading and any antivirus/antimalware running in the background. That's all I can think of right now

uncheck multicore rendering.

Finally got it to work!!! In the L4D2 settings, I set the following
Aspect to normal 4:3
Resolution: 640X480

And I didn turn off the multicore.

Thanks all!!

Holy crap, you're playing it on 640x480? I didn't even know it WENT that low. That doesn't distort your screen really bad? If my games aren't the same resolution as my monitor, it looks pretty bad and has bad mouse scroll issues.

I'd say it isn't as pretty as it was but I can play it now so I'm happy. Basically I just used the settings from L4D2 Beta. I was able to get that game to glitch when I uped the resolution so that is what game me the idea to start messing with the screen resolution.
