Valve is extremely generous I wish I could personally thank them.
Not only has valve turned my computer into a console,(I just beat Swamp Fever on advanced BTW, nothing left of the 5 original chapters left to do but The Parish.) turned an old microphon into an effective headset, but they have given me all of Left 4 Dead 1 aswell? Plus the add ons? I have to say, that is extremely generous and I wish I could tell them "THANK YOU." So, I take it they did the same thing with Left 4 Dead 1? Only is it like a Left 4 Dead 1 in-ized version of L4D2 campaigns?(I.E. In my Left 4 Dead 2 version of the original game's campaigns, i get access to all of the weapons and equipment from L4D2(but in turn have to deal with the specials from L4D2 aswell), so I guess the opposite of that would be chapter 2 campaigns but only L4D1 equipment/weapons and only Hunter, boomer and smoker etc?

Huh.. interesting information but I don't know how that relates to me wanting to thank them... What is the safe door glitch btw?

They haven't given you all of Left 4 Dead.
Do not make that error in judgement.

If I have the original levels and the add on levels from later, what are they holding back exactly?

i have l4d1, and not no have l4d2 campaings but the sacrifice dlc comes to l4d1 too, but in l4d2 you can play l4d1 game, equipemnts/weapons/infecteds just go to mutations and select l4d1 coop or l4d1 versus.

The only updates they do for l4d2 now is for linux and mac. The pc version is bug free according to valve. It's not but valve thinks it is. So i doubt they will add any more content would be nice tho.

In 5 years they never fixed the safe door glitch.

The only safe door glitch i know is for versus, than a infected ghost can run to the door jump and can spawn inside of the safe room even if the door is closed (sorry for the english)
KillerKrieg 25 feb om 10:59nm
I know you can do that. You can also just play the campaigns of L4D normally not in survival mode too.
KillerKrieg 25 feb om 10:59nm
Your english is fine. I understand what that means, but that doesn't seem like a huge problem to me...

Also, the replay value of the 5 original campaigns alone is insane IMO(due to all the different modes you can play them on.) That is true... But at least that doesn't seem to happen in the regular mode of the game, so at least we have that. Also, what would I be getting if I bought L4D again?

this bug is a huge problem to versus, and is banned in tournaments. is possible to kill 3 people in the safe room if the infecteds ghosts jump together.

They haven't ported the actual Campaign versions of the original campaigns outright, the animations are different, the Infected are different (and better in Left 4 Dead) the achievements haven't been brought over, and you still can't see your legs in Left 4 Dead 2. The AI Director, gameplay and overall styles/objectives are different as well.
Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 are different games, a slipshod port of the campaigns with unncecessary gauntlet runs thrown in does not give you Left 4 Dead in Left 4 Dead 2. I harp on this all the time, but it's only because not enough people give Left 4 Dead the credit it deserves.

Calling Michael J. Caboose a Spartan is a perilous stretch of the imagination.

...and not because it's true.

Oh, and no they didn't back-port Left 4 Dead 2's campaigns. The campaign port was a second middle finger to those still playing Left 4 Dead. The only thing to come out of Left 4 Dead 2 for the first game was The Sacrifice, which was built for L4D2 any way.

well.. wouldnt make sense if they put l4d2 maps on l4d 1..
then there would be no reason to buy second game.
