As far as I understand, pretty much as you said.

Just any player that expects far greater from their teammates then what is average for the game type they are in eg
y u no ceiling pounce/level/skeet/jumprock in pub??? GETKICKEDFGT!@!@.
Always expecting a competitive config level performance at a minimum.

That and just getting carried away with ♥♥♥♥ talking the other team when winning.

Generally, when people use elitists as a insult, they're talking about the nitpicking elitists ones who expect everything to go perfect and complain or make up problems about their teammates for not being exactly like them.

Some elitists are esspecially annoying since they aren't nearly as great as they think they are and abuse the votekick system, even when THEY'RE the worst player on the team who dies the most, gets incapitated the most, rushes ahead the most, and "helps" other players the most by screaming at them but doing nothing to save incapitated players.

Once i was called an elitist, because i complained about guys who always spawned too early, and always attacked randomly in vs. (These players had 1500-2000+ hours in the game)
