Freezes when I pick a chainsaw or a magnum.

Ok i'm getting tired of this. Why does the game freeze when I pick the chainsaw or the revolver? I Download some weapon add ons nothing else.

It happens. Magnum mods are known for not working very well. That or the server is enforcing consistancy and when you pick up the gun it messes with your game.

Disable any mods/verify game files and retry.

Uh, I don't think that it would be changing the actual speed of the crowbar.

Altering the speed of the swing animation - Yes.
Altering the speed at which it strikes, No.

Altering the speed at which the crowbar strikes would be quite a blatant hack...

As I said, the animation of the swing may indeed be faster.
Altering the strike speed of the weapon would be a BLATANT HACK.

You're telling me that VAC/SMAC servers are going to allow somone to operate a crowbar faster than normal?

Eg, at 0.7s per strike, versus the normal 0.9s per strike?

I do not think so.

no. online offical servers will automaticly turn off some mods.. like if he has a mod to do extra pistol damage, to keep it fair.

Ok I figured out how to keep the the add-on and don't get a crash to desktop or freezes. You first you don't want to to have the crowbar when it's currently equiped. Switch to medkit or anything else. then you pick up any melee or secondary weapon.
