Game crashed, complained of "low OS Pool memory" or something
I started recieving a "warning" that my os pool memory was low, I believe that was what it was but I am not exactly sure. I was playing a game online and it was running pretty much fine up until that part. What is this if anyone knows? Will it happen again? What can I do to prevent this?(I am on a Windows XP media center edition 2005 and I was told this game would run on my OS.) Please help, I am going to be really sad if I blew my allowance on this game only to find out it is going to crash and kick me out of games by the second phase.

try to verify your game caches
or set in Left 4 Dead 2 options the "Paged Pool Memory Available" on medium or low

How do I verify my game caches? Also, paged pool memory is also set on low.

Thank you for that but I already happened upon that in another topic and re-verified my files. Two files failed to verify and were re-aquired.

Try to enable/disable multicore rendering.

I get this error using HLDJ. Sometimes when I press the button to play a song at the same time someone else speaks through their mic; this error happens.

This steam support article might be relevant to your situation about running out of page pool memory.

With your current computer setup, might want to disable unnecessary background/startup programs so it's not using a lot of memory. (All those programs adds up even if they are using very little). Good luck.

Add more ram to your computer. Also i would suggest a pc upgrade. But what ever you do DO NOT buy a prebuilt pc they are junk. Build your own you can build a nice fast pc for gaming for under $1000.00 bucks. Newegg . com has tons of deals and you can get good name brand pc parts for cheap. I built my pc and i only paid 3 grand for it but if i bought the parts when they was not on sale i would have over 7 grand in it.

Battle, so according to the steps, I uninstalled a driver I don't use anymore. Modifying the game's files was a no go, not possible because neither file it told me I could get rid of was there. Just putting it out there, anyone think I REALLY NEED realtek High definition audio driver?

Well if you don't want sound for your games then uninstall it then. But if you want sound don't uninstall it.

Well now that I have disabled unnecessary background items, the game will not play online at all. It immediately takes me out of the game and removes it, no error messages no nothing. -_-

Battle2525, I just wanted to say that my game has stopped crashing. Now, it will allow me to run the game under the conditions suggested in the guide. I will see tonight if it will get me past that car park.
