You are probably only going to get <15fps with Intel HD graphix. Why so many browsers?

What really makes me upset is that people blame v-sync for causing input lag when in fact the real problem is low frame rates, which can be problematic when V-sync is used on underpowered hardware.

That aside, I don’t see how the game would be playable without a separate, dedicated video card. The on-board Intel GPU won’t cut it. Once, when my last video card died, I tried playing TF2 with the on-board Intel GPU on my motherboard. I had to lower the resolution down to 640x480 just to get an average of 20 FPS.

i should have probably mentioned that before i put my new hard drive in, all of these games plus a ton more, worked completely fine. using the hard drive that came with this laptop i never had this problem. and i don't know if it's worth mentioning that the old hard drive was half the space of my new one...

also, i probably should just get rid of IE web browser but i just have it as a "last-resort-just-in-case" scenario...

the fact that TF2 runs completely fine with default settings and that i never had this problem with my old hardrive (see my reply above my quote of you) which also had Left 4 Dead 2 as well as a bunch of other games leads me to believe that the problem is fixable as opposed to resorting to losing hope of using this computer for playing these games...
