Hosting a dedicated server
I'm trying to figure out how to host a dedicated server on my PC, my friends like to play every week, but they have problems finding decent servers, they try local host but then they have conenctions issues, they try best available dedicated, but then it's too unreliable, sometimes they work, sometimes they have mods etc etc. What I want to do is set up a server that they can use, but I don't have to be in the game while they play (so 8 friends play 4v4 without me) and if i do this, will it stop me from being able to play? I've been trying to find forums posts, but I keep seeing people say stuff like "don't host it wont be very good" or "people don't like joining local hosted servers" it's not intended for randomers, it will be purely for my friends and sometimes me (I don't play, but i want to help them out so they don't have issues).
