Low Violence Version
Low Violence Version in AUS Still?

Spend a buck Valve and address the issue. I hear you aren't short on cash and it would be a good gesture to the exsisting owners.

Fat chance. Not too sure on Australian laws, but Valve would need to petition for
the game to be re-examined, right?
And since the German version is practically the same (I think), they probably just
don't care to seperate them just because a "few" players are annoyed by this.
(I know I would be, heh) But seriously, I don't think they will go through the "trouble" of
the red tape for this game.
Would be happy for you Aussies to see me proven wrong, though.

Valve did appeal the Australian Government about that, but lost the case.

What I find interesting is that the Riot Cop is altogether removed from that version.

What is going on is really simple to understand:
Australia's Government will do the exact opposite of the US at any opportunity that lends itself to reversing the image, "they're all ex-convicts".

The Riot Cop omission is a representative image they took from the game as diverting attention away from others' stance of "Order by Invulnerability".

Translation - they always had it in their nature; and you're not going to change that because you're used to hacking at it until you can't wash it out of your face and fingernails.
