How do I choose my character in single-player mode?

I want to play as the girl.

Do you know how to open the developer console?
It's the ~ button on the top left corner of your keyboard, under the 'esc' button.
When you open console, you can type 'sb_takecontrol zoey' (or 'sb_takecontrol rochelle') without the ' ' and you will take control of Zoey. (or Rochelle)

HOWEVER - Keep in mind to do this, you must be playing with sv_cheats 1.
If cheats are not allowed, you won't be able to switch to Zoey (or at all)

To play single player on Dead Centre, Hotel type in to console:
'map c1m1_hotel; sv_cheats 1'
Then once your level has loaded up, type in to console: 'sb_takecontrol rochelle'
Hopefully that should work, I'm flying by the seat of my pants ATM, as I am at work and don't have access to the game.
I'll check back later tonight, hopefully it works!

To pick your character... click on character, and then choose Zoey/Rochelle.

Good plan, didn't work. It shows my name where "Zoey" or "Ellis" are in the loading screen, sure enough. But once I actually get into the game itself, I'm always Bill or Nick.
