hunter: parkour-ist person, so clearly had great stamina, and good at jumping and climbing.

smoker: clearly, smoked, shoots his intestines as a tongue. (which is why he has such great range)

boomer/boomette: clearly was over weight, and carries the greenflu in his stomach, thats his bile.

witch: by my guess, was a beautiful girl(like the bride), who sees what she became, so she hides in dark areas, when you get near her, and see what she is, she gets enraged by her appearance and attacks you.

tank: took steroids.

charger: appears to be a undeveloped tank. didnt quite mutate fully.

jockey: looks like a oldman who may of had a hunchback.(oh looks like he had a bad back by how he stands)

spitter: by her body shape, as a human made herself puke alot to lose weight. (which actually messes you up inside and stuff like starving yourself and puking alot, caues you to gain weight, which explains her belly.)

the question is why or how did they mutate.
the comic says they couldnt get the cure because it mutates or changes way too much. so maybe when people got a cure, their infection reacted weird to the cure, and when they turned, they began to slowly evolve into the SI.

since it would be a rare occasion, it would explain the fact you only see like 30 or so SI out of like 1500 commons

ehm or maybe the whole thing was just a military experiment... which would explain why the Tank was locked up in the train with a tag "Live Specimens?" surely the Tank would be a great biological weapon... and I still think that the Spitter is actually a pros***ute, that would explain the "deep throat"...

Both plausible, I like the Spitter explanation too.
I think there was a movie (Super 8?) Which reminds me of the Tank in the train car.

well if u make urself puke, you damage and burn ur throat, which explains the burned up mouth and throat. as for the deep throat, they are mutated, probably to help her spit her acid further.
