Buying L4D2 for a friend

Hello :D I have just one question.
I am from Germany and give L4D2 as a present to a friend. That friend is from Canada.
My question is: Will he get the German censored version or just his own country version?

As Ian said, he will unfortunately receive the German version of the game if you buy it for him.

well that would kinda suck xD German version is censored. :D he should get the uncut version if I already have the chance of getting it x3

possably send a ticket to steam or something asking for a exchange. they should do it since it isnt losing them any money.
