A system that NEEDS to be implemented in L4D3.
Yes I know that L4D3 has not been announced fully or anything like that, at this point it's rumors and speculation. I am looking forward to the idea of L4D3 though. I just wanted to add in my two cents.
I've been away from L4D for a while. I recently got a pretty bad urge to play it, and it's been flowing well. I love the game, but there is one single HORRIBLE flaw. No competitive. The one thing that I love about CSGO, is that when you join a competitive match, it's very rare that you get a match full of trolls. "How do I aim down the sights" Is what one said as he killed himself by jumping off the roof.
Too many games are ruined by these people that obviously don't have lives. They wait in a lobby. Join the game. And grief. You don't see that happen all the time in csgo mainly because a ban comes shortly after. They either quit afterwards, or get kicked in the process.
I'm not saying to get rid of the casual side at all. I enjoy playing casually at times, and I'm not SEVERELY competitive in L4D2, but it's quite frustrating, when I'm jumping lobby to lobby, because every game I join is nothing but trolls. Adding in a system like that of csgo may not eradicate the issue, but it would for sure, suppress it. This in tow, would also create a more even playing field. You'd have the folks that just want to play casual, doing what they see fit. Then the competitive side of things, for people wanting to actually play competitively. This would reduce trolling, rage quitting, and griefing.
Another thing comes to mind is that the lobby system doesnt seem to work very well in my opinion. Yet another thing they could take from csgo, is the competitive matchmaking. Check the boxes on the campaigns you're wanting to play, and click go. Let it line people up, and bam everyone is in. No more waiting twenty minutes to get a lobby off the ground because everyone is impatient.
I may not be entirely right, but this game has suffered from rage quitting since the beginning. It's not very often when I get to enjoy a vs match in it's entirety. Tell me what you think.
