Witch attacks SI in Versus??

In the Sacrifice campaign Versus i jumped as a jockey on the witch with leftclick. After some time a survivor shoots me or near me or witch and she starts to run. The survivor did ran, too and I followed him. Then I noticed that i´m under attack although the survivor didn´t shoot me. So I mentioned that the witch attacked me and then I was dead.
So it is normal that you can as a SI attacked by the witch or was it a bug?

Yes sometimes the witch will attack an SI instead of survivors. At least she attacked someone rather than becoming confused and not attacking anyone.

This does happpen occasionally. One tactic used in Vs matches is to actually attack the Witch if you are an SI, just a scratch, when Survivors are around. This is to tick off the Witch so she might go after one of the nearby Survivors as opposed to sitting there and crying. Unfortunantly if the Witch AI doesn't go after the Survivor(s), she may attack you. Which pretty much means death as a squishy SI. Worth it tho IMO, given the potential damage she can do...

The witch just attacks swinging arms like crazy, I Biled one once but the horde barely touched her as she hits the crap out of the commons that tries to hit her.
