Steam's Discussion Boards
My opinion is Steam just needs to delete it's discussion boards as it just causes too much drama between people.

It should go back to forums and properly link to it.
The issue that arose with this decision is that it is now too easy for everyone to simply post something. This is too twitter- and facebook-ish. Therefore it attracts a lot of people who don't like to think before posting,

Yes and no. What Valve is doing is replacing SPUF by this, which is not a forum, in the end leaving you to rely onto this. So not all internet forums are like this, none are, since this here is not a forum.
The point of this thread is to criticize this decision.

EDIT:
Wow, turns out both people I am trying to speak with apparently are not suitable for an actual forum anyway.

Because YOU don't like it this board should be shut down, instead of just not visiting it everyone should lose this board because YOU say so. Wouldn't it be easier for you to just not come to this board since you don't like it? So technically it's not a "forum" but it is an internet message board, so my point still stands that this is how all internet message boards are.
