1) Block them. Go to there profiles. Click on more ( I believe ). Blocking options should be there.
2) You can try reporting them for user misconduct. Don't know if Valve will do anything.
3) Write down and / or memorize there Steam ID. This is found within the console. Even if they change there game name, the Steam ID can still identify them.

If this is occuring on your server: See this[forums.alliedmods.net] and for the server.cfg:
//FRIENDLY FIRE
sm_cvar survivor_friendly_fire_factor_easy 0
sm_cvar survivor_friendly_fire_factor_expert 0
sm_cvar survivor_friendly_fire_factor_hard 0
sm_cvar survivor_friendly_fire_factor_normal 0

Change to 1 to enable Friendly Fire.

Block them, that's about all you can do. If you play on community servers, see if you can report them to the admins for bans.

i feel your pain... i was suddenly gunned down by an angry newbie just a few days ago in The Parish 1 simply because I "stole his melee weapon."

people need to relax. it's just a silly melee weapon and i wouldn't have taken it in the first place had he shown the decency to communicate in advance or call dibs.

anyway... the politically correct way of dealing with team killers and trolls is BLOCK, REPORT, KICK and/or LEAVE.

personally however, since once inside a game i'd rather stay and see it to completion (regardless of team killers), i host local servers when playing expert difficulty and use the console kick function when team killing happens.

either that, or repeatedly TK them in return until they leave the game in frustration. :D

you'll come across many griefers in expert games. just remember to keep your cool and don't let whatever they did get to you. these griefers are seeking a reaction — don't give them one.

N00bs phases:

1st phase Funny moments w/ 8 hrs on record
2nd phase: Rage/troll/newbies because they are kicked, & become killermates on Expert
3rd phase. Uninstall or born a new player (;

Remember that.

Uh, that's not a solution... if there's no friendly fire, not only does expert become pointlessly easy, but that only prevents tkers from killing you, not from attempting to destroy the game in other ways.
Knappy Jun 30 @ 6:14am
It is a solution, just one you do not agree with. Also, there are many other[forums.alliedmods.net] plugins[www.sourcemod.net] for this issue.

No, it's not. The friendly fire is a very important part of expert; when you can't spray and pray recklessly, you have to shoot carefully. Once your shots are limited your kills are limited, exposing you to more risk.

With over twice your hours in expert only, I can safely say that once you remove friendly fire, an expert game is completely pointless. It's about as much worth as an expert game with god mode on, or any other ridiculously overpowered survivor bonuses that completely negate the point of expert- which is a harder game.

It's still a solution whether or not you agree with it or not, and whether or not you choose to read the sourcemod links I have provided. Also note that my game-play time doesn't compare to my five years of dealing with SRCDS and relevant these issues. You can choose to actually listen to my advice and make your own server with a TK prevention plugin, or quit ♥♥♥♥♥ing about something you have absolutely no control over as a client.

Gotta agree with the notion that removing friendly fire breaks the game pretty badly. Proper expert players take more damage from their teammates than the infected.

But personally I just use my own server and some Sourcemod plugins to deal with TK. Ban the offender (no voting needed when you are admin), count the friendly fire damage, and give the health back.
BlackMilk Jun 30 @ 12:48pm
Always watch newly joined players.
If they start shooting you or a teammate, incapacitate them.
If there's a bot active in the team, kill them so they're not revived.
When they're down or dead, vote to kick them.

If your other teammates have any brains and aren't clueless ♥♥♥♥♥s, the offender will be kicked.
If he/she is not kicked, leave the game. Your "team" deserves the abuse they're about to receive.

You can block people all you like, there will always be trolls.

EDIT: If you're on your own server and you have something like SM or an admin addon installed, put godmode on yourself if it looks like they're going to try to shoot you.
They really, REALLY hate that. It's hilarious.

Step one: Autoshotgun.
Step two: Rapid fire at close range.
Step three: Tea-bag.
Step four: Revive them via rescue closet.
Step five: Repeat steps two and three.
