Why do people kick for no reason in this game?
I'm serious. And I've been kicked out of lobbies, for no reason whatsoever.
I've been kicked out of games too. Seems like once someone votes for you to get kicked off, everyone just votes yes without knowing what the hell the person is doing wrong.

Kicked out of lobbies... seems legit
Although this may be true some of the time (kicking on reason, t4rds F1'ing coz F1, kicking for a friend etc) the vote kick system exists for the pure and simple fact that if a team members game-play is detrimental to the team overall, there is an option for a DEMOCRATIC vote to kick them out.

It's sad for new players but this game has some depth - as far as teamwork goes - that most players with under ~250-300 hours (and especially under 50) just wouldn't understand. Being a game that only has 4 players per team, it's critical that each teamate play his / her part.

Sometimes teamates vote yes on a votekick for almost no reason. I have a video on my profile of almost getting kicked after leveling a charge, mostly cause I was taking a while and they were in a hurry.

Forgot to ask but are you playing vs or campaign? Campaign is much more forgiving for new players.

I never know whether to vote yes or no to these kickings. People are rarely making any reasoning.

I usually vote no if they haven't been doing things that were accreditable to inexperience (ie almost always), so no teamkilling, repeated healthgrabbing although told differently etc.

Often enough, if someone kickworthy is kept in game due to your no vote, it'll show after the failed vote (by them griefing) and you can just start the vote again.
If it was due to noobness, they'll often ask why and you can give a short explanation what they did wrong.

The vote kicking system is broken and unbalanced.
Valve and L4D team didn't even tried to do something with it.
I don't even know when L4D3 will come out that they will work and concentrate mostly on L4D3
or L4D2 for fixing most horrible bugs and problems.

I vote kick out people if their friendly fire gets out of control. In - game or lobby.

Here is how I play: (and I play VS.)
-I like to stick with my team. No splitting up. However, if one person goes ahead, I try to catch up with them, so they don't get picked off, and it encourages the rest of the team to keep moving forward.
-Make sure everyone gets one health pack
-Not be a ♥♥♥♥.

Most of the time, I've been getting kicked out of lobbies. And to the guy above, yes. It is legit. Whoever owns the lobby can kick you out of it before the game starts, no vote required. I don't know if it's because people are trying to play with their friends (in which case, isn't there a private option?) or maybe my name is off putting, or what it is, but it only ever happens in this game. I don't get why people keep saying you need a lot of experience in this game, as it's hella easy and there's not much to learn, besides good ambush points while you're infected. And that doesn't take 300 hours + to figure out...

No, it's not as easy as well, perhaps for thinking that you are being kicked.
For someone inexperienced, you do not really know how to play, the mechanics of the game are important too, do not shoot the boomer, trying to shove rather than shoot
(to save), avoid friendlyfiring quickly respond to help, in time you will learn that even before a friend get caught, you will already know that he will be caught, moreover, when two friends are caught together which you will save first? And learn how to save your medkit.
All this regard, that I even commented on infected.

If I'm on my server, and get caught, I demand the minimum possible time to be saved, do not want to lose a lot of life that you long to "realize" that I had been caught.

Dude. Everything you just listed, I figured out within the first 30 minutes of me playing. A 12 year old could figure these things out. There is not a lot of strategy behind this game, no matter how much you try to make it sound like there is. Don't shoot the boomer if you're close to it. Duh. Shove rather than shoot. You don't say? I've put like, what 24 hours into this game, and all I've played in those 24 hours is VS. If you honestly think that it takes more than 24 hours to figure out how to play this game, you need to play more games. The mechanics of this game are incredibly simple to understand, and I think it is very hard to be a "noob" at it.

there is a lot to figure out, maybe on normal or easy heck even advanced isnt too difficult. move up to expert/realism thats when you need to know the ins an outs of every level spawn points of SI and CI have your marksmanship experiance to dead eye level. freindly fire kills very quick a single horde can easily wipe out a team etc etc it does require a lot of skill
