The Parish
I heard or read somewhere(was months ago so I don't remember which.) The Parish was originally for Left4Dead1, but was tossed to the side then used for the second game.

True? Or real?

Doubt it, the Parish is set in the South and L4D1 takes place up north iirc

Well, now that you mentioned, actually the general atmosphere of the map looks like a left 4 dead, analyzing coldly I would even say it looks like a port from it.

Well, far as I saw the original map was little different and set at night. But like I said, could be wrong.

All I found is this. So maybe it wasn't true. They just changed the look of the campaign.

"The beta version of this campaign combined the first two levels (The Waterfront and The Park) together. Also, the crescendo of the second level was somewhat changed. Instead of entering a simplistic CEDA trailer, the Survivors entered a sanitation center, which would spray them with a mist of some sort, and sound an alarm."

The name 'Parish' comes from a colloquial term for the parish (county) south of New Orleans. Sounds made for #2.
