Really? Maybe change your play style a little. Be more aware of what your teammates are doing. And if people run in front of you while you are shooting, then just don't shoot near them. Taking damage from infected is natural. It's part of the game. But do your best to bring frinedly fire to 0.

That's not a reasonable response.
There is always some friendly fire in this game mostly due to players running across your firing line. Most of the time it is unintentional and unavoidable when there is a lot going on. Sometimes this is caused by players blocking doorways when shooting. When this happens I run through them so I can play the game. Make sure you are not doing that.

mate. if i'm on knees and firing at a horde or tank or whatever it's not dificult to cross behind me.this ppl who run without watching teammates and \or have no "overlook" about the situation r ... not rly annoying but hardly struck my nervs..and trust me i do my best to avoid tk\tb.
anyway no bad feelings just maybe some newbys read this and think about.

yep... it takes two. Some people friendly fire a lot, which is their fault; but if you are getting shot in a disproportionate amount compared to your teammates, you're probably screwing up. There are some melee fighters in particular who are especially bad at this; if they're running around erratically like cockroaches it's near impossible to avoid FF, unless you just stop shooting.

How is it unreasonable? In public games my friendly fire incidents is less than 4. Some common sense & self - control goes a long way. And it's not even hard. Heck.... L4D 2 is not a hard game in general.

If I notice a person that seems to run in front of me while I am shooting, then I stop shooting in his / her direction. If they get caught by a special infected, then I will save them in a different manner other than shooting in their direction.

The game itself says not to cross the line of fire.
Same in real life, you do not pass in front of fellow who is shooting, you passes behind.
Only I do this?

No. I do it too. If you play with public strangers, you cannot rely on they will stop shooting, if you somehow by accident gets in their way a little.
Like if you are 10m ahead of one player and he shots past you to kill some zombies, he will most likely hit you if you move just a tiny muscle to either side.

Common sense says to NOT run around like chicken while guns are being fired. At most run straight forward and back but not sideways.

I agree with original poster on this. Another related thing is not to sit shooting with your back up against a wall. Leave room for teammates to cross behind you without tasting your FF.

if some 1 runs in front of u ,u stop shooting-oc, but u will hit him anyway 'cause ur not able to c that he \she comes along .so he cross -u hit and then stops shooting.

That's why I do not fire when someone is anywhere near my crosshairs. More people should try this.

Running around like a chicken or not, friendly fire is still friendly fire. I said this many times. Do not shoot near people. Plain & simple.

You should see them about to cross your bullets, I just stop shooting until they move or move to the side and keep firing. If they get hit, its their fault. Just gotta keep your eye on them and watch if they are running towards your line of fire.
volkica04 Jun 6 @ 4:48pm
and beside have a eye for zombis a eye for special infected and and for stuff....sometimes i'm so nerved by some ppl-not because they ruin my stats ,i don't give a xxxx about- that they r so without interest and brain nervs me.ok in last time i'm lucky to find some cool ppl who cares about team and that thinks.
[†]Munkee_King[†] Jun 6 @ 5:10pm
The stats are wrong anyway. So stats are completely important. But yes, it is easy to keep your eye on your team and the zombies. Ears out for the SI, eyes on your team and the infected, isn't that hard. But you are gonna friendly fire once in a while.

Exactly. You listen to the advice I said in this thread. And use common sense. People would have friendly fire down to near nothing.
