How do I get singleplayer addons to work?

Theyre installed, but when I go to character select, they arent there :( How do I use them?
They appear in the addons. But not in the menus and stuff

Actually when I join, it says 'None of the installed addons support the campaign modes"

"Character select" implies to me that they're trying to use custom playermodels. OP, is that correct?

If so, they replace specific characters. You'll still have the same options to choose from (Bill/Zoey/Francis/Louis, Nick/Rochelle/Ellis/Coach, depending on campaign), but the playermodels will look different in-game. If you've downloaded some and you know they're not working, check to make sure you don't have multiple competing models for the same character causing conflicts. It should be obvious because the conflicting addons will be red instead of white.

Still though, when I use them they dont show up. If I wanted to play as a character who replaced ellis, id still be ellis
