Any other players but Russian players? :P
I keep encountering Russians in every single lobby I try to either join or host, reason that I don't like being teamed up with Russians in general is that most of them don't understand the english language which is kinda mandatory when playing games for fun & competetively..

Is anyone else feeling this is happening a lot in L4D2 or is it just me? And has anyone found any way to actually enjoy this game in versus? :p

And I don't mean this to be racism in any way at all, I just wanna be able to play a Versus match where I can have fun and talk to my team mates so we can come up with some fancy combos, is that too much to ask? : /

Can't you change your region?
The forum seems to be filling with it also. I will never understand why someone would post a message in this forum in a non-English language.

Only way I've seen is to change the download location but doubt that would do anything to L4D2..

It makes all of the difference; Steam matches you up with games based on the download location you specify.

If you're in Europe, try changing your download location to Westernmost Europe. People with a download location of Russia will be put into East European official servers, since there are no Russian official servers, so if you want fewer Russian-speaking players you'll have to try going more West, and presumably some place in Britain will give you a lot of English-speaking players.

If that doesn't work, you can always try to deal with the ping and play on Eastern coast USA servers.

In realism, at least, I've found Russian players to be superior to players from other regions, although perhaps it's not the same for all game modes. Vocalizer commands are absolutely vital in dealing with players who don't speak the same language, and it's quite useful to get a Steam browser page with Google Translate running so you can copy and paste chat messages.

Sowwy, most people still playing this game are russian. We bold few who don't know the language just have to suck it up and deal. Sad but true.

No, no. I'm just saying, most Russians I've encountered lately have been typing in Russian only and been acting rude towards me. And yes I am sure that not everyone acts like this but it's just sad to see that it is what it is.

And a side note to all of this: I hope none got offended by my message, that wasn't my intention. : )
