Adults and kids in L4D2
I really hate it when someone just bans a kid for talking, if you do this then your a total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

If your the kid and need to communicate to your team quick, whould you want other people banning you? No, you wouldn't, so next time let them have a chance to have fun and dont ban them because of there voice because they can't help it

I hate when a kid with a really high pitch voice squeels into his mic like crazy. If a kid says "hunter, smoker" or helps fine. But we don't need someone telling us what happend at school when we are listening to our surroundings.

Stupid baby goats and their mic spamming..

The game is rated mature. If steam did their job this wouldn't be an issue.

well, when i am with a kid, i don't care how they sound

it depends on how they act, again, they cant help that their voice is high

But they dont need to spam the mic. Which is something kids do on games alot of the time. Plus, like Asshattinator said, it is a mature game. They shouldn't be playing it.

Wrong. If parents did their job this wouldn't be an issue.

Don't you know it's the parents job to let someone else do their job for them, so when it doesn't work out they can blame the other source instead of themselves?

Thats like saying the liquor store is not at fault for selling to minors or the cashier is not at fault for selling a kid cigarettes. Yes it comes down to the parents but steam should not allow anyone that can work a mouse to d/l games rated mature like they did at christmas. They should have an age vericfication system in place and enforce it. .

They do verify your age when trying to access the store page for M rated games.

Other industries actually veriify you age through your credit card. When steam gave the game away at christmas the only "verification" was saying you were born on a certain date. The same with buying from a steam wallet. They could at laest make you put in your cc# every time and verify that so at least they know an adult is buying it.

I don't mind people using the voice. As long they use it in a constructive way. But if you use HLDJ and / or become out - of - control on the voice I mute people. And if it starts to ruin it for the majority of players, I put up a vote kick.

Another thing I am really grateful for, is 3rd party voice works with L4D 2. So if a friends joins a public game I am in, we use something other than the in - game voice.

I agree, but it ultimately is the parents responsibility to monitor their kid's on-line activities. You are absolutely right that Steam has an ethical responsibility as well, but are more concerned about $$.

Same, I don't have one either. Got rid of it a decade ago when I was a young idiot in school.
