Although it is unlikely L4D3 will be made, or at least in the following years due to them making Evolve, here is a list of things I would like to see in the next Left 4 Dead:

1: Obviously the Source 2 engine.
2: High quality animation akin to CS:GO.
3: First person body view.
4: Less powerful melee that pushes less zombies away and is less spammable.
5: More realistic weapon mechanics like bringing back the pumping mechanic for shotguns when the entire tube is empty and extra animations/mechanics for emptying the magazine of every weapon
6: Maybe some sort of customization feature to the survivors. Not bright and colorful like TF2, just subtle cosmetic changes like certain clothing colors or pieces and they are unlockable through achievements.
7: More of a replayability factor with random weapons like L4D2, but maybe map changes as well.
8: Maps that are more balanced that don't need to be changed for versus to be not-broken
9: More intelligent bots.
10: Oculus rift support.

Imagine fighting a tank on Source 2 engine with the Oculus Rift. Anything you would like to see in L4D3?

1) A system that punishes quitting and / or being kicked out of too many games. CS:GO has a system like that in place. Why not L4D? Rage quiting out of games is REALLY bad in this game.

2) I would actually like to see the number of different types of weapons to be less. The Benelli M4 / M1014 did the job just fine in L4D 1. Don't know why Valve needed 2 semi - automatic shotguns in L4D 2. Same with the M16 & AK - 47. I.M.O we don't need both.

3) Attach laser sights to the secondary pistols too.

4) Be able to see EVERY players flashlight. I mean..... you can see other players laser sights & where they are looking. I don't understand how Valve overlooked the flashlight being seen by all players as well.

5) I know this has been said already. But improved bots. I know bots cannot use explosives. But Valve should program the bots to maybe give explosives to human players. Bots can heal & pass around pills or adreneline to others. Why not explosives?

6) Have bots path better & navigate maps better. So annoying to see them get stuck. And wait for them to magically " warp ". I also would like to see this so players stop the " idle exploit " to shortcut to players. Learn the maps please.

7) Have the bots be more skilled with more weapons. Hate it when the only weapon Coach knows how to use is shotguns. Or Ellis can ONLY use sniper rifles well. But when they start using other weapons, O.M.G they become bad REALLY fast. Please improve !

8) Have more sound options in the base / official game. Again.... I don't understand why people need to make workshop items to fix things Valve SHOULD be doing.

9) Same with crosshair / reticule selection. CS:GO has some new or old - style crosshairs to choose from. Again if you want a certain style of crosshair, you need to rely on the workshop. But for those that HAVE played CS:GO, there is a HUGE number to shoose from in the BASE game.

10) H.U.D ( heads - up display ) options. Again we need to rely on the workshop to customize the H.U.D. It should be a official option I.M.O.

11) Have the director change the way it spawns common & special infected. Currently, infected attack the survivors based on mostly timers. This is why I rush campaign maps. Less chances to be damaged = less damage overall. However..... most people look down on rushing in the L4D franchise. So change the director to spawn a certain set of special infected at certain parts of the maps. That way it is NOT based on timers. And rushing would not be needed, thus encouraging better & improved team play.

screw that if you want less spam get an email filter. i like being able to spam melee just enough times.

Everyone's got a list. Everyone who wanted to has listed that list in another topic. What you are going to see listed here is pretty much what everyone's said already somewhere else, plus or minus any new or forgotten ideas since then.

(What I'm trying to say is redundant topic is redundant. There's gonna be a lot of samey stuff, hopefully not but probably involving things like "new Infected, moar guns, customizable weapons and survivors". No, I don't agree with any of those things.)

Better zombie movements. Better textures for the zombies. Better blood effects. Better gun animations. More zombie types,and more common zombie types.

Basically an upped version of this would be completely fine with me.

Yes. I agree on this point. I hate the zombie movements & physics. It can get frustrating at times.

How is me getting an email filter going to stop people from spamming melee? I am sure you do like being able to use a mechanic that benefits you.

Ragdolls for survivors. If you they need to track it server-side for defibrillator etc then do it. Just get ragdoll deaths back! If a tank manages to throw a survivor somewhere he cannot be revived then fine.

I myself have a wishlist of 50-80 suggestions that I made a while back....
