Add-ons migrated from modded server stays in game, even affecting single player
one of the server i joined was a modded server and it had some sort of zombies mod. now my walking dead zombies add-on won't even work because of the add-ons migrated into my game. anyone know how to clean them up so my add-ons work again?

i already deleted the stuff in:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\downloads

This is very simple. Restart Steam. They will be cleared.
Note to everyone, before posting help for ANY problem, restart Steam first.

which i did many times but still did not help. i only asked AFTER doing a lot of research and coming up with nothing.
As far as I know, actual addons (.vpk files) cannot be transferred from server to client. What's probably going on is that your game configs or script files have been temporarily overwritten. This happens for things like crouch skating after you disconnect from a server.

If you're still having this problem after restarting the game, then I would suggest verifying your game cache, and checking your addons folder (steamapps/common/left 4 dead 2/left4dead2/addons) for anything you might not have installed yourself.

how do i check the game cache? is that the verify game intergrity?
as for the addon folder, i checked it already.
Yes, that is the verify game integrity thing. (To clarify, the thing where you go to Library, right-click on L4D2, Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache.)
If any of your files are corrupted or don't match default, a verify should catch that.

i see. yeah, i did that a few times previously with no results. a day ago i deleted L4D2 and restored via backup and copied the add-ons back to their original place (with the same failure).

after that, i deleted the files inside appcache and the depotcache hoping it would fix it (stupid maybe?) and right now the addons are being downloaded back in l4d2 (despite the original addon files still there) hoping it would fix it. if it still doesnt offer results, im reinstalling steam.

after that, i dont think i have many options left... :C
What exactly is being changed? Things like weapon damage, move speed, et cetera?

for one, the mod(s) that got migrated includes secondary weapon that has infinite ammo which could be a melee weapon, pistol or a shotgun.

second, random uncommon zombies (not specials) spawns much more frequently and even in levels that arent suppose to have them as well as special zombies but the specials has like 1 / 10th of their original HP.

that's all i observed atm.

EDIT: having that said, my walking dead zombies add-on doesnt work because those mods are being pre-loaded with no indication that they are conflicting my own add-ons. the addon page doesnt even show them at all.

That sounds like a script file (shotgun secondary with infinite ammo), and it sounds like your default variables have been messed with. I'm digging through my own files to find anything that might pertain this, I'd say check your scripts folder (left4dead2/scripts) to see if there's anything amiss there.
What I have in mine are gameserverconfig.vdf, kb_act.lst, kb_def.360.lst, kb_keys.lst, mod_options.360.txt, and options.360.txt.

If you really want to pull teeth, I suspect most of the variables involved can be reset in the developer console, but I do not know the default figures. I'd love to help more, but there's only so much I know of Left 4 Dead 2's files and how they work.
