Who would you side with CEDA or the Military ?
During the game ceda and the military are both trying to stop/contain the infection but who would you side with Ceda and still try to find a cure ? or the military and just kill all infected and carriers ?

Hmm.. I would stick with the people with no military training, that seem to survive better than the "trained" soldiers who got eaten.
I don't think its that simple. CEDA aren't a branch of the armed forces, they probably arrived well before the military did, back when the infection had barely spread. We know it spreads without direct contact/bites since the survivors infect all non carriers they are near, and L4D1 happens 2 weeks after the first infection, so my guess is that it spread extremely quickly and the military were scrambled in a desperate attempt to quarantine it by sealing off major cities (they bomb the bridge at the end of The Parish) and killing anyone that might spread it.

If the map you can see at the start of Dead Center is any indication, most of the US is already gone. CEDA was probably totally wiped out within the first few days.

CEDA is gone. There will be no cure. CEDA agents and Dead Center poster's show that CEDA failed to contain it, therefore being crushed. The military are really horrible (read The Sacrifice comics) so therefore I would be with none of them.

Neither, both would inevitably defect or infect (no pun intended). For example, if martial law was ordered on the United States with a STK order, the military would execute that order for a short time before they either defect on the concept of shooting their own people or discover very quickly they are out-manned and out-gunned. However there are many factors that would be at play, preliminary EMP to disable civilian communications? How drastic of a measure would world agencies go to prevent further contamination? Nuke all core infection sites?

In the end it really doesn't matter who you side with, for in the end it's every man for himself. Even in a group human nature will prevail, if you haven't seen The Divide I highly reccommend it to any apoco-thusiast who thinks a group is safer than going solo. As a counter suit, The Road depicts very well how some groups can conform, with compromise.

The question is inherently flawed. They're not opposing forces. CEDA attempted to contain the virus and failed, then the bombing began as a last resort when the spread of infection became more and more severe.

Okay thanks for all your answers and i see that i stated the question in a bad way what i mean is that as Brave Fenncer the map shows that the east coast is lost and yes ceda is ♥♥♥♥ed what i meant is that as you see on the map that the rest of the united states is still not effected yet now i ask the question if you were in the areas that were not effected would you still side with CEDA and say that they should try and save people and find a cure or side with the military and push back the infection and wipe out all carriers and infected ?

why not just do both? Finding cure while killing infects.

Stay out of everybody's way and kill whatever infected jerk crosses your path. Following orders can often lead to your death, soldiers will always (unintentionally) be sent to their deaths.
Better to be a random survivor passing through when the worst has happened already.

Military is most likely not immune/not based on carriers. This means that they'll be paranoid enough to shoot anyone they come across so that they won't get infected. I think being a carrier and running around with other carriers is your best bet. You'll face the zombies, but you won't lose your humanity because you're so paranoid that you shoot any living thing.
CEDA failed to contain the infection. Military failed to stop the infection before it happen (Check Payday The Heist.). Dallas, Chains, Hoxton and Wolf FTW.

Ya know that sounds like a cool spooky hiest where the gang has to go to a huge bank during the infection and steal cash or somthing while being attacked by zombies

I dont know the exact specifics of it (the mission, what happens within exactly) but what Naked is pertaining to is that in Payday : The Heist, one of the missions is set at Mercy Hospital where the Infection Pathogen is accidentally released.

Its an "official-unofficial" link between the two games.

It was before. The Mercy Hospital got bombed so Top floors were under (re)-Contruction. Because the Team steal the virus sample for some unknown people, it was broken out and release the disease. Consider Left 4 Dead an Alternative Sequel while Payday 2 is an Official Sequel.
