But yes, we've known this for awhile. It will be September as well. Almost certainly September 27th.
There isn't anything surprising about them releasing Sen IV one year after Sen III. They usually release a direct sequel one year after the other. Especially if they use the same assets. It also doesn't really say anything "promising" about the future of the series, since it was already confirmed we'd get a Calvard Arc after the Erebonia Arc finishes.
There's pretty much no chance of them halting the continuation of the series. Not with so much story left to tell. It will be 2-3 years after Sen IV until we get to Calvard and will likely have another Arc after that.
