Hi. I need help with how to cook. I have a request that requires me to bring someone three dishes. I have been all over and there are no clues. Please help.

You're that far in the game, and you don't know how to cook? No way. You're lying.

Edit: You should already have multiple dessert recipes. You must have missed a truckload of content if you don't. If you don't, and they're not selling them at the bookstore, you're probably out of luck.

Double edit: Actually, wait. I feel like you should have at least one or two just from going through the story. Do you just not have someone to cook it with?

Do you lack recipes or simply people to cook with? If it's the latter, you can go into the Old Schoolhouse, pick your party, do some cooking and then leave the building. The optional sidequests won't time out until you finish your monthly investigation.

Well there is your problem. By that point you should have around 15 recipes in your Cooking Note. You didn't go look for recipes throughout the game and now you are paying the price.

Since that quest is optional skip it for now and revisit it on your second playthrough.

Only three recipes are in the form of books: Sandwich, Steak, and Coffee.

Unless coffee counts as a desert in the game it won't be of much help.

I was under the impression that you could also find books for recipies that you missed.

To the OP: Try going to the pawnshop. Go in and out repeatedly. You should see books talking about how to cook show up eventually. Buy them. Even recipes that aren't normally in book form can show up that way (the same as missing Red Rose books).

Are you telling me I didn't need to be obsesively looking for all the recipies as hard as I did?

I think so. I think I missed a recipe and picked it up that way later. Can't remember anymore, it's been too long. But my memory seems to jive with what others have said in FAQs and whatnot.

Let Laura, Machias, or Emma makes Celestial Pasta Soup which recovers 3000 HP from recipe #14 Refreshing Pasta Soup (You may have this food item if you talked to some NPC in previous chapters)
Let Alisa, Machias, Emma, or Millium makes Wobbly Pudding which recovers 2600 HP from recipe #13 Custard Pudding (You may still have this food item if you already cleared the quest Amber Amour)
