spoken monologue changes

hi everyone! :)
so I've played through this game a couple of times and what I noticed is that the text changed (at least in the beginning, not sure about other points though).
the one thing that brought this to my attention is the beginning:
1st playthrough "Dear Esther, the gulls do not land here anymore"
x playthrough "Dear Esther, sometimes I feel like I've given birth to this island"

I absolutely love that the text changed and this gives the game more depth, but I would also like to experience the game like it was when I first played it. does anyone know how I could "reset" the game or just change the monologue to its original state??

There are two(or maybe more) of each monologues. They're random. Restart chapter and there's a chance you'll get another one.

wow that's weird. in march I've played the original DE 2 times and the Landmark Edition 6 times and out of those 8 playthroughs I've gotten
7x"feel like given birth" and
1x"gulls don't land" (first playthrough in Landmark E)

Just checked original game, and out of 6 new game starts I got 3 different phrases - "The gulls do not land here", "The morning after I was washed ashore" and "I sometimes feel as I've given birth to this island".

Then I checked game files and voila, Dear Esther\dearesther\resource\closecaption_english.txt

There are 3-4 variations of most phrases, but some are unique. The very beginning has 4 different ones, one more is "I have lost track of how long I have been here".

yeah, I've also restarted DE and DE:LE; DE had the birth-beginning again, but with the Landmark Edition I've had the "washed ashore"-monologue ^^
