Bosses
Hey so far I love this game and I really enjoy the mechanics but i wonder will there ever be bosses? For example one on each level. So like one for slums one for industrial and one for park.

I believe the "disasters" that happen on the 3rd area of each level are the big baddy levels

oh yeah totaly forgot about those lol
1. Hobo kingboss for the slums
2. Killer robot chases you disaster activates.
3. Get the hobo king and robot to fight each other
4. ???
5.PROFIT!
Mabey a boss floor like a fourth floor to each level
The game supports a lot of different playstyles, I think forced tough combat encounters would detract a little. I'd like to see more interesting opponents scattered around the levels, maybe rare characters who show up from time to time and are a little fancy would be nice, but I wouldn't want to see it in a "defeat the boss to continue" kind of a way.

Literally this is my exact feeling.

The first boss in Deus EX Human Revolution felt like it really wanted you to just fight, instead of letting you have other ways around it... that felt awkward for that type of game, and I can only surmise it would do so as well here.
But special side npcs that appear rarely does sound like an interesting concept, as long as they stay on the sideline... just like how you can kill the killer robot if you really wanted to, but it isn't required to pass the floor. Achievements for killing the rares would be nice though.

Also imagine the poor doctor trying to fist a boss all day long ;-;
This is dumb. Deus Ex Human Revolution is a crowned example of forced boss fights... and they fixed it later with a patch. There is NO guarantee that adding bosses to this game would be the same problem. Kill the boss with a computer virus. Kill the boss by inciting a riot of towns people to oppose him. "Kill" the boss by becoming friends with him. There are plenty cool ways to come up with. Saying "no bosses" is straight up stupid.

Considering the majority of the classes are built around NOT running and gunning like an idiot traditional boss fights would just be a ludicrously bad idea overall.
I wouldn't mind seeing boss encounters as optional missions.
I can agree with Victorious idea, the bosses don't even need to be this giant bullet sponge, can just be a normal person with a higher rank, thus more traps, elaborate hide out that with some classes could be "befriended" (like the Shape shifter taking over a fellow member), poisoned, or other such things. Wouldn't have to be a straight up shoot out or slug fest unless that was your planned method.

Whoever says that a boss fight would be stupid...is stupid lol just because there is a boss fight, that doesnt mean there wouldnt be multiple ways to beat them. take for example the killer robot: you can either kill it, excape from it, take away its gun, take away its ammo, get other people to fight it, have it kill itself,or get a security system to kill it. Thats already quite a bit, and i bet there are more, so stop saying that a boss battle would be dumb.
plus, a way to make more people happy, just make it an optional quest on levels.
